Ramoji Film City

For the first time after coming to Hyderabad we had been for an outing. We went to Ramoji Film city on Saturday just to enjoy the entire day as it would be our last weekend at this place.

It’s a truly amazing place built on 2000acres of land. They have the sets for any kind of movie. Sets ranging fro Chor Bazaar, Any Indian or Foreign architecture, Foreign sets, hospitals, library etc. You name it and they have it. Viewing all this comes at a cost of Rs200/-. But it’s worth the money you pay. They take you in a bus on a free tour inside before they drop you at a particular point and you can go around and look at the place.

They charge nearly Rs 5 Lakhs for everyday of the shoot and one can use any set they wish to for that amount. It works out very cheap for the film producer and director. At the end of the day though the people are fooled that it wasn’t the real place that is shown in the movie, it makes sense as lot of expenses are saved. Also, when one gets a similar setting to the one they would get on going elsewhere, all the more better.

We also saw a stunt show by few of the guys who have acted in a few Bollywood movies and they gave a truly amazing performance. Very good coordination was required and they were up to it.

Overall it was a great experience and I finally leave a city that I hated very much with some sweet memories. But I still don’t like this place very much (lot of people may disagree but I think one is entitled to his/her own opinion).

In the end the punch line…

HAIL RAMOJI!!!!

DECISIONS!!!

How easy is it to take a decision? Is it better that it’s taken instantaneously or after giving it a thorough thought? I don’t know why but this thought just cropped up as to how decisions should be made and when should they be made.

Sometimes it has been easy for me to make decisions and most time. But whether its harsh or not I have made some crucial decisions in life. These decisions have been mixed in the sense of making it instantaneously or making it after giving it a thought. I can’t exactly tell as to which one has had the better success rate. But what I do know is I have had success with it on most occasions.

Decisions that I have made have been harsh on some occasions. But what I believe is that its better that it is taken now rather than later as it could be harsher at a later stage. This is truly my personal thought as it has been out of experience. Some could disagree by saying that by just postponing some decisions you are just trying to wait and watch and more time to think and analyze. How much should one analyze? I don’t know!! No body as far as I know has come up with an answer to this question.

I know that one should take into account the criticality of the decision and then decide on whether it should be instantaneous or not. But I don’t have facts and figures on the success rates.

My belief is that if one feels that he/she has had a better success rte in instantaneous decisions then he/she should do so otherwise stick to thinking and analyzing and then take hem. As far as I am concerned both have had their successes and failures in my life and have had equal ratios. So, I just make them as and when they come up. But I am sure all of us has a hunch as to whether it should be instantaneous or not and then hope it falls in place.

How much ever we want a rational decision to happen some element of the emotional side always creeps up and plays a vital part. We tend to use our heart and brain in all our decisions.

End of the day…. What’s the right approach? I think its left to the individual to decide. No person can come up with a theory on it.

All the best to all you guys in making your decisions. Hope you make the right ones and be successful in life!!!

A CONFUSED POST!!
